Chamber Singers
"Chamber Singers (MUS 410C) is the most select choral ensemble at UH. Chamber Singers is an auditioned ensemble of about 24–28 singers from throughout the university. Chamber Singers has distinguished itself with performances with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra as well as the University of Hawaii Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, in Neil Blaisdell Concert Hall, at the Waikiki Shell for President Clinton, and in performances with renowned conductors Robert Shaw and Sir David Willcocks. Chamber Singers has received high acclaim for their performances of a variety of challenging and outstanding music, from Renaissance works to contemporary repertoire, works with orchestra, and folk music from around the globe. Members of Chamber Singers have previous choral experience and sight reading ability, and an audition is required to be in the ensemble. Chamber Singers meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 2:20 pm."
